To sing the songs I poured my heart out in my twenties, thirties and forties … songs which revealed more than I knew, some I haven’t touched in over 40 years! Craig Carnelia, Kander & Ebb, Dan Hill & Barry Mann, Maltby & Shire, even Stephen Sondheim were composers who loomed large in my past. There’s also a song by Bernie Taupin and Elton John that I’ve wanted to sing since my sons were born but never felt brave enough. Funny what age can do for your perspective!
