"My mission is to uplift and inspire through music. In that regard, I consider myself a soul singer — reaching from the inside out, telling stories, stirring emotions, helping my listeners feel good. My goal is to continue creating, finding and telling new stories that bring us all closer together. That’s what music is all about."

A rarity in this digital age, Clairdee is truly a spontaneous entertainer bringing sass and sophistication to the stage. At the crossroads of jazz, pop, blues and soul, she seamlessly blends the Great American Songbook and contemporary classic songs with buoyant rhythms, telling riveting stories in her distinctive style to create a fresh spark that suggests the music was written for today.

The San Francisco-based vocalist has worked nightclubs, festivals, convention centers and concert halls from San Diego to San Antonio, Tokyo to Paris, New York to Newport Beach. Her performance experience includes work with an all star roster of artists such as Bucky Pizzarelli, Shelly Berg, Boz Scaggs, Cyrus Chestnut, Houston Person, Norman Simmons, Dave Frishberg, Ken Peplowski, Bernard "Pretty" Purdie, Wycliffe Gordon, Dianne Schuur, Mark Murphy and many top straight-ahead jazz instrumentalists. Clairdee's genre-bending versatility has made her the perfect choice as opening act for a diverse roster of artists including David Sanborn, the Count Basie Orchestra, Etta James, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Johnny Mathis, and Dionne Warwick.

Intelligent and articulate, Clairdee’s skills as a first-rate interviewer impressed during her standing-room-only conversation with legendary vocalist Nancy Wilson at the 2008 Monterey Jazz Festival.
